Questo è l'ultimo CD di uno dei miei gruppi italiani preferiti, vado spesso ai loro concerti ed ho visto anche quello con Amiri, molto bello. Sono molto affiatati e la musica è decisamente coinvolgente.
02. The Carla Bley Big Band - Musique mecanique (Watt/Ecm Records - 1979).
La Big Band di Carla Bley è una delle formazioni a cui sono più affezionata, mi piacciono molto sia il suono che la scrittura.
03. Soungalo Coulibaly - Dengo (Espace 2/Djin Djow Production).
Ho questo disco da circa due anni e lo ascolto quasi continuamente. E' musica tradizionale del Mali, è continua fonte d'ispirazione e studio, ma anche senza lo studio rimane un bel cd da ascoltare.
04. Henry Threadgill's Zooid - Up Popped the Two Lips (PI Recordings - 2001).
Bel suono, bella musica!!
05. Simone Massaron featuring Carla Bozulich - Dandelions on Fire (Long Song Records - 2008).
Sinceramente non saprei inquadrare questo CD stilisticamente, forse perché non è nelle mie intenzioni quando ascolto musica. Ha delle splendide atmosfere, è suonato molto bene e la voce della Carla Bozulich è bellissima.
06. Charles Mingus - Changes One (Atlantic Records - 1975).
Ho sempre qualche disco di Mingus nel CD player.
07. Paolo Botti Quartet - Looking Back (Caligola Records - 2008).
Altro gran disco di un gruppo italiano. I brani sono molto belli e tutto il mood del CD è piacevolissimo.
08. Muhal Richard Abrams - Song for All (Black Saint - 1997).
09. Duke Ellington - Duke Ellington meets Coleman Hawkins (Impulse! - 1962).
Anche di Ellington ho sempre qualcosa nel CD player!
10. Czech Philarmonic Orchestra N.Rimskij Korsakov - Sheherazade.
Sheherazade mi crea dipendenza, la devo ascoltare spesso.
