Il Meglio del 2017 Secondo Luca Vitali

Un'annata buona, caratterizzata da alcuni graditi ritorni fuori dai canonici confini del jazz: Arto Lindsay, a tredici anni dal precedente «Salt», Jon Balke, con il secondo capitolo dedicato alla musica arabo andalusa di «Siwan», e in ultimo (ma non per importanza) John Lurie, che dopo diciassette anni di oblio forzato è tornato a farci visita nei panni di Marvin Pontiac!

Parecchia buona musica ha messo in luce quanto l'Italia e l'Europa godano di buona salute, anche se così poco rappresentate nei festival e nei club italiani.

Come sempre ho privilegiato le scelte di campo decise, indifferenti ai confini tra i generi ma con una cifra stilistica unica e inconfondibile... non necessariamente i migliori dischi di jazz.
