02. Bruce Springsteen - The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story (3CD/3DVD Columbia -2010).
Un cofanetto straordinario che racchiude la migliore stagione creativa dell'ultimo cantastorie che l'America ci ha dato.
03. Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain (Columbia - 1960).
La pulizia ed il timbro di Davis in queste registrazioni sono davvero straordinarie, non parliamo dell'eccellenza degli arrangiamenti di Gil Evans.
04. Alan Lomax - The Haiti Recordings (Harte Recordings 10CD Box Set - 2010).
Dopo 70 anni tornano alla luce le registrazioni fatte da Alan Lomax e da sua moglie ad Haiti. Tra field recordings di riti voodoo e parate del carnevale di Port-au-Prince, passando per musiche di bambini e songs di cantautori unici!
05. David Sylvian - Blemish (Samadhisound - 2003).
Poesia e staticita,' silenzio e rumore, in questo scheletrico ed essenziale album. La voce di Sylvian e' accompagnata da leggeri echi elettronici e dalle improvvisazioni di Derek Bailey.
06. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Pendulum (Fantasy - 1970).
Il mio definitive album rock degli anni '70.
07. Paolo Tofani - Indicazioni (Cramps - 1977).
La Cramps diede alla luce alcuni ottimi album sperimentali/avant, ... per me questo e' il migliore! Un timbro che mai nessuno aveva sentito prima, ... dalla chitarra degli AREA, tra il miglior Derek Bailey e Robert Fripp.
08. Silver Apples - Silver Apples (Kapp Records - 1968).
Un duo formidabile che riuscì a costruire a New York una musica molto vicina a quella che alcuni colleghi tedeschi (CAN, NEU, etc) avrebbero fatto alcuni anni più tardi.
09. OvO - Cor Cordium (Supernaturalcat - 2011).
L'ultima fatica di un duo elettrizzante, italianissimo. Furore e personalità quasi sciamanica contraddistinguono il "sound" di Stefania Pedretti e Bruno Dorella.
10. Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica (Straight - 1969).
Il disco che ha anticipato tutte le musiche "avant-rock" dei decenni successivi, vent'anni dopo a New York l'ondata no-wave rendeva giustizia al capitano e alla sua ciurma.
