Disco del mitico e sfortunato Esbjorn Svensson: ero in macchina del mio amico Marco Rollo, e ad un tratto è partito questo disco pazzesco che mi ha lasciato letteralmente senza fiato. Genialità, freschezza, affascinanti architetture melodiche e armoniche. Più che in un trio, si ha l'impressione di essere immersi in un orchestra di 40 elementi...
02. Paolo Fresu - Richard Galliano - Jan Lundgren - Mare Nostrum (Act - 2008).
Inutile parlare di intensità, dolcezza, emotività o altro. E' praticamente un comune denominatore nei dischi di Paolo. Qui mi proietto in spazi infiniti, mistici e assolutamente carichi di pathos!
03. Miles Davis - Kind of Blue (Sony - 2000).
Disco che con mio "fratello" Marco Bardoscia ormai abbiamo consumato. L'avremo comprato e rimasterizzato almeno cinque volte sin ora!!!
04. Keith Jarrett - Charlie Haden - Jasmine (ECM - 2010).
05. Arve Henriksen - Chiaroscuro (Rune Grammophone - 2004).
Mi affascina moltissimo il modo in cui suona la tromba e come riesce a creare suoni assolutamente poco conosciuti.
06. Eivind Aarset - Sonic Codex (Jazzland - 2007).
Mi piace molto l'utilizzo dell'elettronica e delle atmosfere. Aarset è un mago.
07. Cannonball Adderley Sextet - In New York (OJC - 1962).
No comment!!!!
08. Joe Zawinul - Faces & Places (ESC Records - 2002).
Riesco a sentire i profumi e le tradizioni dei vari continenti!
09. John Coltrane - A Love Supreme (Impulse! - 1966).
Anche questo parla da sé.
10. Jackie McLean - Capuchin Swing (Blue Note - 1960).
Mi piace il modo in cui suona il sax alto, e come riesce a controllare il suono, oltre alla scrittura della musica!
