01. Witold Lutoslawski - Concerto for Orchestra (Naxos - 1998).

Grande uso del contrappunto, soprattutto all’inizio.

02. Five for Fighting.

Mia moglie ascolta continuamente le bellissime canzoni di questa band.

03. Bill Evans - The Complete Live at the Village Vanguard (Victor - 1961).

Il contrabbasso è mixato troppo in evidenza, ma questo permette di sentire come fosse creativo Sott La Faro.

04. Olivier Messiaen - Catalogues d'Oiseaux (Naxos - 2006).

Meravigliosi suoni e trame musicali.

05. Alban Berg - Violin concerto (Deutsche Grammophon - 1993).

Questa musica è contemporaneamente tonale e quasi seriale. Una grande composizione.

06. Joe Henderson - So Near, So Far (Verve - 1993).

Joe suona così sciolto! L’ho sentito negli anni ’80 in un club per tre notti e non si è mai ripetuto!

07. Miles Davis - Porgy and Bess (Columbia - 1958).

Musica amabile, trombettista amabile. E’ detto tutto.

08. The Meters - Rejuvenation (Sundazed - 1974).

C’è un meraviglioso sfasamento nel senso del tempo e del groove.

09. J.S. Bach - Well Tempered Clavier, Book 1 by Sviatoslav Richter (BMG - 1992).

10. Herbie Hancock - Dedication (Sony - 1997).

Disco che non conoscevo. Una pietra miliare del piano solo.
