Moonchild: figlio di uno Zorn minore?

La musica di John Zorn sembra costantemente rivestita di una pece vischiosa, di quelle che ci metti la mano e già sei impelagato e più ti danni l'anima per venirne fuori più fai peggio, più si nega si afferma, più si afferma e più risuona beffarda la sensazione che la “verità” se ne stia da tutt'altra parte. Chiave sicura della sua unicità e genialità, questa caratteristica non può però fare piombare l'ascoltatore, il fan o anche solo il malcapitato in un pozzo senza fondo e si ha talvolta la sensazione che alcuni progetti non siano del tutto centrati.

È questo forse il caso del progetto Moonchild, di cui abbiamo recensito i due recenti dischi Songs without Words e Astronome.
