It is "Monktober" and we are celebrating the 10-10-1917 birthday of one of the greatest piano composers in jazz—Mr. Thelonious Sphere Monk. In addition to the artists named in the title, we have tribute compositions from Dr. Lonnie Smith, Carlos Henriquez, and his son T.S. Monk. Additional artists interpreting Monk's compositions include Blue Mitchell, Larry Goldings, Roy Ayers, and lots more.
