Festival MiTo Settembre Musica

Approdata alla seconda edizione, perfezionando la polarizzazione avviata l'anno precedente fra il capoluogo piemontese e quello lombardo, MiTo Settembre Musica offre ampio spazio, nell'ambito di un cartellone decisamente eterogeneo, al repertorio contemporaneo. La parola "repertorio" ben si attaglia alla musica di Olivier Messiaen, il cui valore artistico e la importanza storica sono da tempo acclarati a livello internazionale.

In Italia, invece, l'occasione per una panoramica sufficientemente sistematica, specie per quanto riguarda i brani per vasto organico, è stata offerta dal centesimo anniversario della nascita.

Tra gli omaggi resi al compositore spicca il recital tenuto al Conservatorio di Torino da un solista di grande prestigio quale Bernard Foccroulle, che si misura con un organo Tamburini recentemente restaurato dalla Bottega Vegezzi-Bossi. Il poliedrico musicista belga, che, dopo la direzione del Théâthre de la Monnaie di Bruxelles ha assunto la guida del Festival di Aix-en-Provence, è un punto di riferimento per l'interpretazione della musica barocca (non casualemente ha inciso l'integrale bachiana su organi storici) predilige la chiarezza e la luminosità del suono, mettendo parzialmente in ombra l'interesse di Messiaen per
