10 CD nel CD-Player di... Matt Renzi
Avendo un progetto per violoncello ho iniziato ad ascoltare questo disco che è stato per me fonte di ispirazione. L'esecuzione della Du Pre è incredibile.
02. Benjamin Britten - Cello Suites 1 and 2 (Decca - 1989).
Grandi composizioni per violoncello e fantastica esecuzione di Rostropovich.
03. M. L. Vasanthakumari - Krithis of Purandaradasa (Kosmik - 2008).
Mi sono imbattuto in questo CD durante un tour in India qualche mese fa Studiando la kanjira (uno strumento a percussione del sud dell'India). Questo genere di musica mi interessa molto.
04. Sesame Street - Platinum All Time Favorites (Kosh Records - 2008).
Mio figlio di sedici mesi lo ascolta venti volte al giorno. Anch'io sono cresciuto con queste canzoni.
05. Sonny Rollins - The Bridge (RCA - 1962).
Sempre mio figlio balla sulle note di 'If I Ever Would Leave You.'
06. Gyorgy Kurtag - Musik fur Streichinstrumente (ECM - 1996).
Studiando la partitura di "Officium Breve" per quartetto d'archi l'ascolto di questo CD è una naturale conseguenza...
07. John Coltrane - Interstellar Space (Impulse! - 1967).
Uno dei miei preferiti di sempre.
08. Elliott Carter - Quintets and Voices (Mode - 2003).
Sto ascoltando e studiando Quintet for Piano and Strings .... qualcosa di sorprendente!
09. Eels - Blinking Lights and other Revelations (Vagrant Records-2005).
Lo ascolto in auto... un sacco di volte.
10. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (Capitol - 1966).
E' un CD che gira molto spesso perché mi ricorda casa e... perché è un grande disco.
