Antonio Faraò: Woman's Perfume
Il suo è un disco raffinato ed estremamente curato nei dettagli, in cui nulla sembra sfuggire al caso. Quello che manca è il mordente, quella vis creativa e visionaria che distingue il fuoriclasse, in grado di conferire al progetto un valore aggiunto, che invece latita nelle tredici tracce del disco. Non funziona nemmeno il sound collettivo di un trio riunito per l’occasione a Parigi, incapace di imprimere al progetto un’orma personale.
In questo mal riuscito omaggio jazzistico alle colonne sonore cinematografiche di Armando Trovajoli va sottolineata la sobrietà dei colori e volumi dell’interpretazione pianistica, purtroppo non sostenuta dai moti del cuore. Manca la meditata introspezione psicologica, che ad esempio sostanzia i recenti omaggi pianistici di Enrico Pieranunzi, al quale Faraò dovrà guardare con attenzione per evitare scivoloni futuri.
