Four 2019 releases are in the dock this session, and three are so new they won't drop until June. We've got two trios who are willing to search beyond the Great American Songbook for material, largely with positive results; a prog epic whose cover is a lot more ethno-musical than its contents; and a young and upcoming vocalists who sounds like Norah Jones but whom the boys like a lot better than that coffee-house staple. Three of the four are self-produced but don't let that put you off, as all are of high quality. After the bumper, Mike and Pat tackle the ongoing Michael Jackson controversy and the troublesome intersection between art and the morality of artists, so stay tuned... if you're up for that sort of thing.
