Repertorio solido e consolidato, sia nei temi originali di Altschul, già presenti nel primo disco del trio, che nella turgida rilettura della monkiana "Ask Me Now"; solidità e flessibilità che vanno a braccetto, con Irabagon che dà sfogo a tutta la sua obliqua fantasia, il disco conferma quanto la vitalità di un artista e la sua esperienza (in questo il batterista ha pochi rivali) riescano a attivare percorsi espressivi sempre significativi anche all'interno di una pratica dai contorni ormai ben definiti.
Notevole il rapsodiare tra contrabbasso e sopranino in "Irina."
