The 1,400th Edition Of One Man’s Jazz

When you're older than dirt like I am, each show completed is a milestone, and happily, I'm still around to arrive at 1,400 in the life of this show. For some of these milestones, I try to do something a little different. I always say this show is about the music and the people who make it, so I decided to turn to those fine folk in the form of a request/dedication show—a step back in time to one of those AM radio programs of yore. I sent out a goodly number of emails, got responses, and put it all together. There was no restriction to just jazz for the music requested, and people were free to make whatever kind of dedication. The only music I chose was the opening track from trumpeter Thomas Heberer's Remedy and the brilliant album, Hipp Hipp Hooray. If you want to see who requested what, see this show's playlist on the One Man's Jazz website. Major props to anyone who's taken the time to check out One Man's Jazz.
