Ivan Maroello: Nuvole

Il pianista friulano Ivan Maroello è solito muoversi su molti degli innumerevoli fronti della musica, collaborando con jazzisti come Nevio Zaninotto, mettendo in scena spettacoli legati alla letteratura, frequentando l'ambito cantautoriale. Ma la cifra che sembra essergli più congeniale è quella che permea questo Nuvole: la lirica e malinconica narrazione, quasi descrittiva, di istanti, eventi, umori.

Lo stile di Maroello unisce ispirazioni classiche (non a caso campeggia al centro del programma un preludio di Shostakovich) a influenze del piano contemporaneo, con accenni minimalisti, ricordi di musiche da film, approcci melodici del piano jazz. Il tutto confluisce senza banalità, ma poesia, senza scimmiottamenti (oggi così frequenti) ma con sentimento. Volendo indicare qualche analogia stilistica, viene in mente soprattutto Arturo Stàlteri, anche se qui la tradizione classica ha uno spazio forse maggiore.

È una musica sospesa, e infatti le pause vi contano quanto le note, notturna, pensosa, ma anche serena. Una musica lieve, che non piacerà forse a chi cerchi ritmi e forti dinamiche, sperimentazioni o senso del blues. Ma che ha una sua piena dignità, sempre che la si faccia scorrere e ci si lasci trasportare in quei luoghi - forse immaginari, o forse presenti, in forme diverse, nella memoria di ciascuno di noi - che essa cerca, con successo, di evocare.
