La diversificazione delle soluzioni è uno dei principali punti di forza del sassofonista inglese, da tempo residente negli Stati Uniti. Per tale ragione questo disco è in grado di stuzzicare l'attenzione di chi non ama la routine jazzistica, per gustare un'ampia varietà di climi espressivi ed equilibrio collettivo. Ma si ha l'impressione che per quanto ambizioso, il progetto non sia riuscito ad andare oltre una piacevole giustapposizione di linguaggi differenti senza una profonda sintesi originale. Ma se ne apprezzano le atmosfere variegate di ampio respiro e l'ampio dispiego di disposizione timbrica.
