Miracolo a Milano
Ripensando ai concerti che si sono svolti a Milano dal 29 Ottobre al 2 Novembre, mi è tornato alla mente questo scambio di battute tra Fabrizio Bentivoglio e Diego Abatantuono in "Marrakech Express".
Perché erano anni - almeno due decenni, direi - che a Milano non venivano proposti a distanza ravvicinata così tanti concerti interessanti. Li ricapitoliamo: - Il duo Mark Feldman - Michael Formanek per la rassegna Avant Jazz al PIM - Lucas Niggli Big Zoom per l'Atelier Musicale - Il trio Chick Corea - Stanley Clarke - Lenny White, ed il Bill Frisell 858 Quartet, al Blue Note - Sonny Rollins Sextet (per gli Aperitivi in Concerto del Teatro Manzoni).
Una sequenza davvero notevole, peraltro dovuta non ad un singolo soggetto, ma a quattro organizzatori distinti. Uno piuttosto recente e che si sta affermando in città come sede delle avanguardie: il PIM. Un altro presente in città da qualche anno, e che dopo un paio d'anni di programmazione discutibile, sta tornando a proporre concerti di notevole spessore artistico: il Blue Note. E infine due organismi che potremmo definire storici, come l'Associazione Secondo Maggio e gli Aperitivi in Concerto.
Tutt'intorno a queste iniziative maggiori, un fiorire di altri piccoli eventi, organizzati soggetti vecchi e nuovi. Locali, associazioni, circoli culturali, club. Dopo un ventennio difficile, ci sembra dunque di cogliere segnali concreti di un rinnovato interesse da parte di Milano per il jazz. Speriamo che duri, e che continui a crescere. Nel frattempo, godiamoci questa sorta di "Miracolo a Milano," e tutti i concerti che ne deriveranno.
"Ragazzi, erano anni che non mi divertivo così!"
