Robert Aaron: Trouble Man
In questo Trouble Man per la francese Heavenly Sweetness, gli orizzonti sonori sono però un po' meno eclettici e si concentrano su un soul-jazz non privo di componenti estatiche e dai tratti molto seventies: nella variegata band troviamo l'organo del maliano Cheick Tidiane Seck e la batteria di Steve McCraven, così come la chitarra di Monnette Sudler e la voce di Anthony Joseph in un paio di tracce.
La spontaneità del processo creativo è certamente in linea sia con l'etichetta che con la personalità di Aaron, musicista che ha sempre anteposto il piacere di fare musica a ogni altra strategia, ma l'esito non va oltre una piacevole passeggiata attraverso umori e aromi lontani da qualsivoglia urgenza espressiva attuale. Una specie di Pharoah Sanders afro-cubano virato easy-listening, per l'estate non funziona nemmeno male.
