Kyle Gregory - Paolo Birro - Salvatore Maiore - Roberto Dani: Notturno, Sing Without Words
Le atmosfere sono infatti tra il lirico e il rarefatto, molto europee, con Gregory che prende spunti da Wheeler e Stanko, dialogando fitto in particolare con Birro (che in alcuni brani, ad esempio "Hermeto", dà il meglio di sé). Un po' troppo defilati Maiore e Dani, di solito capaci con i loro strumenti di cambiare radicalmente il contesto sonoro, ma qui - tranne alcuni momenti isolati - troppo votati alla causa, nel frangente quella del solista Gregory.
L'album riesce così, alla fine, gradevole ma incompleto, con qualche lirismo di troppo che lo rende prevedibile e una tavolozza sonora nitida, ma poco estrosa. Tanto che i momenti migliori paiono essere quelli dove il "canto" tace e gli altri strumenti, certo anch'essi "senza parole", fanno sentire la loro voce - come ad esempio nell'introduzione di "Ardia".
