Lars Danielsson: Mélange Bleu
Ecco così che gli strumenti sono ampiamente sostituiti da sampler, computer e elaboratori vari, e perfino l’orchestra di Copenhagen - presente in quattro tracce - finisce filtrata e ricondizionata, in un’atmosfera che un po’ affascina, un po’ sa di marmellata (industriale, ovviamente).
Peccato, perché Danielsson, com’è noto, con il contrabbasso ci sa fare e anche come compositore ha grandi qualità. Infatti, anche qui qualche momento di qualità non manca, a cominciare dalla traccia d’apertura, “Mélange Bleu”. O come il breve e intenso “Minor People”. O, soprattutto, come la lunga suite “Judas Bolero”, nel quale la partecipazione dell’orchestra e di Molvaer, assieme ad una minore incidenza delle alterazioni in studio, rende particolarmente godibile la reiterata improvvisazione.
Complessivamente, comunque, il lavoro non è disprezzabile e si lascia ascoltare con piacere, destando con frequenza l’interesse dell’ascoltatore attento ed esigente. L’unico neo è che, forse, una maggiore valorizzazione dei “puri suoni” avrebbe semplicemente prodotto un risultato migliore. Ma così è il “Nu Jazz”...
