Mette Juul: Change

Read "Change" reviewed by Angelo Leonardi

Top Ten Tracks from 2019 to help You Get Through The Day

Read "Top Ten Tracks from 2019 to help You Get Through The Day" reviewed by Nick Davies

As 2019 passes into 2020 it is a time to look back at some of the best records from the previous year. 2019 saw some very good jazz releases many of which were featured on the Crazeology Radio Show and it was really hard to decide a top ten. After many hours of deliberating with records ...

Mette Juul: Change

Read "Change" reviewed by Jakob Baekgaard

Change is an inevitable part of life and music. The very essence of being a jazz musician involves catching a musical moment that never comes back again, but occasionally, a record shows up that is both a document of change and the sum of a lifetime. With Change, Danish jazz singer, guitarist and songwriter, Mette Juul, ...

Raffaele Casarano: Oltremare

Read "Oltremare" reviewed by Neri Pollastri

4 Wheel Drive: 4 Wheel Drive

Read "4 Wheel Drive" reviewed by Geno Thackara

It may not quite be the loud and fast thrill-ride one might guess from the title, but that doesn't mean it lacks a few fun twists and turns. Here we have four world-class players who can (and sometimes do) carry a whole performance on their own, agreeing to mesh as equals and—more importantly—staying generous and supportive ...

4 Wheel Drive: 4 Wheel Drive

Read "4 Wheel Drive" reviewed by Phillip Woolever

Sometimes it's not so much who's doing the playing as how well they play together. Just as some bands seem to perform beyond their individual skill sets, there have been heavily heralded, much hyped “super groups" that amounted to almost nothing of substance. In the case of 4 Wheel Drive, a quartet consisting of ...

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
