AA.VV.: Jazz al dente
Sotto il primo profilo (la musica), le cose migliori arrivano dal "A Saint-Germain-des-Prés" targato Gianmaria Testa, con Paolo Fresu, Roberto Cipelli e Attilio Zanchi (tutti anche nel quintetto fresiano che torna poco dopo in "Nucleo") e Philippe Garcia, proveniente dal celebre, felice progetto su Léo Ferré (qui in verità mischiato col Pavese di "Blues dei blues"), e poi ancora da "The Ever Changing Sky," raffinato quanto solido piano trio con Giovanni Ceccarelli, Chris Jennings (ottimo il suo archettato) e Patrick Goraguer, dallo Gnu Quartet (flauto, due violini e cello) protagonista del trascinante "Carta o contanti?" e dall'immediatamente successivo "Da lontano" di Raffaele e Carla Casarano (che fa un uso brillantemente non convenzionale della voce), in quartetto senza batteria.
Se il corpus musicale dell'opera, come si accennava, ingloba diversi episodi di interesse alquanto relativo (per il jazzofilo e non), le ricette, semplicemente "dette" (Fresu, conciso secondo costume, e Testa, che invece si prende quasi cinque minuti, anche perché di ricette ce ne regala due) o accompagnate da suoni e jongleries varie, vanno proprio ascoltate, o lette sul lussureggiante booklet che accompagna l'oggetto, cartonato, elegantissimo (ma non per questo ingessato, tutt'altro), mirabilmente illustrato da Dimitri Lamauret.
