Alive with Ghosts Today (Edition Records) offre questa triade vincente: intensità esecutiva, scrittura avvincente e orchestrazione raffinata portano questo album ben oltre altri suoi lavori costruiti attorno a "semplici" blowing sessions, per quanto straordinarie.
Interpretato da un ensemble di forti personalità musicali—Bill Frisell (chitarra), Rane Moore (clarinetto), Zekkereya El-magharbel (trombone), Sara Caswell (violino), Burniss Travis (contrabbasso) e Nate Smith (batteria)—"Osawatomie Brown" rappresenta forse l'esempio più eloquente di quanto potente possa essere questa combinazione vincente.
