Read "Gli Unscientific Italians e l'arte della meta-sintesi Friselliana" reviewed by Ludovico Granvassu

It's just one of those happy coincidences that bassist Lisa Mezzacappa, whose name is likely Italian in orgin, is one of the featured artists in this episode, because there's noticeable Italian content as well. Mezzacappa's latest with her ensemble Six, is inspired by the short stories of Italo Calvino (also Italian). Music from Italian musicians comes ...

Musician

Piero Bittolo Bon

Piero Bittolo Bon is one of the busiest and most in demand italian musicians in the italian jazz and avant-garde scene. He mainly plays alto saxophone but is also at ease on baritone saxophone, flutes and clarinets. Passionate and vibrant, his music, densely composed or totally improvised, reverberates with echoes of the best of free jazz, fire music, torrid improvisations and chamberesque compositions, sharp attacks and continuous inventions bar after bar
