Maddalena Ghezzi

Hailing from Milan, Italy, Maddalena Ghezzi is a London-based singer, composer and improviser. Passionate and curious about using her voice in creative ways, she has been working in the field of jazz, improvised and experimental music since moving to the UK in 2009. Her work draws inspiration from the natural world, literature, visual arts and the socio-political status of our world.  

As a leader she has released four EPs, Amethyst (Thodoris Ziarkas), Halite (Ed Blunt), Opal (Francesca Naibo) and Emerald (Maria Chiara Argirò, supported by Help Musicians) part of her series Minerals, and one album, Eŭropo:sen limoj (Europe With No Borders), with her band  FUWAH. 

Jim Altamore

Jim Altamore is a versatile singer of popular standards from what is known today as the Great American Songbook. Jim grew up during a time of transition……the music world was changing with the arrival of the Beatles. However, his family always appreciated the true American music of jazz and swing and kept him in touch with the great singers like Sinatra, Ella and Bennett. Jim’s indoctrination in the world of music started on the right path….and it never changed! Fortunately, Jim met some jazz musicians who encouraged him to pursue his dream of becoming a professional singer. Mary Amaral

Born: September

Mary Amaral is a Brazilian singer songwriter whose work is composed of her influences, mainly classic jazz songs and R& B, combined in an original way with elements she received from Tom Jobim's Bossa Nova, João Gilberto and guitarrist Baden Powell's Afro Sambas with Vinícius de Moraes, among other Brazilian Classics. Mary is also a composer /lyricist, and is releasing her Ep of Brazilian Jazz, called Delineio. Ori Dagan

Born: June 8, 1981

Jazz singer-songwriter Ori Dagan has attracted a dedicated and growing audience, both in his native Toronto and internationally. He brings a wry and agile sense of swing to everything he does, whether interpreting a standard, spinning a pop tune on its head or introducing his own original music and lyrics. His rich bass-baritone is unmistakable; his irreverent songcraft speaks to the lineage of Nat Cole novelty numbers and the impeccably swinging humor of the late Bob Dorough and Dave Frishberg. His scat singing has the natural, fluid, bop-inflected feel of the best in that idiom, inspired by heroines and heroes Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Charlie Parker, Lester Young, Anita O’Day and Sheila Jordan (with whom Dagan recorded a duet in 2017)

Allen Taylor is a jazz vocalist from the old school, combining originality with a style reminiscent of the golden age of jazz singing. Yuri Turchyn

Born: June 16, 1950

World class, A-list performances and original music by 5-string jazz violinist Yuri Turchyn whose international flair crisscrosses cultures, blending Gypsy Jazz, Afro Cuban, Latin Beat into fusion symmetry and string swing along with his distinctive voice and smooth, melodic vocals. A singer/songwriter, he composes and arranges original music while having a highly visible career as a featured premier performing artist. An “International Jazz Cat,” Yuri was featured at the West Bloor Street Festival, Toronto and toured with renowned Gypsy jazz, acoustic trio, BARTENDER, performing at the Umbria Folk Festival in Orvieto, Italy returning for several tours to the Umbria-Tuscany area

Cheryl Richards

Born: August 20

Vocalist Cheryl Richards moved to New York City in 2000 and has been singing jazz and improvised music since 2002. She studied with the great jazz pianist and improviser {{m: Connie Crothers = 6000}} for more than 15 years.

In the last several years, she has performed at venues throughout New York including the 55 Bar, the Stone, Greenwich Music House, Why Not Jazz Room, Cornelia Street Café, and Zeb’s in Manhattan as well as iBeam, Roulette, Galapagos Art Space, The Drawing Room, Mirror Teahouse, and Cafe Orwell in Brooklyn. Her newest CD, If Not For You—featuring guitarist Adam Caine and alto saxophonist Nick Lyons—was released on New Artists Records. Cheryl began singing at age 11 when she joined the award-winning Seattle Girls’ Choir.

Ryan Baker

Born: September 2, 1978

Based in Las Vegas, vocalist Ryan Baker has been singing in all types of venues and appearing in production shows all over North America for well over a decade. Originally from Long Island, NY, Ryan moved to Vegas in October 2003, where he began performing at weddings and corporate events at just about every major casino property in town, with performances ranging from Frank Sinatra “sound-alike” to impersonating the man himself. In 2005, Baker helped create and became one of the stars of the original tribute show “Shades of Sinatra”, which received the Entertainment Consumers’ Exchange “Tribute Show of the Year” award in 2007, 2012, & 2014
