Domenico Sciajno: Sequenza for Ensemble of 16 elements

Composta e registrata nel 1999 questa "Sequenza" per ensemble di 16 elementi era una chicca che Sciajno serbava nel cassetto. Senza dubbio è questo il CD più bello tra quelli recentemente pubblicati dalla Bowindo, per apertura sonora, per capacità di far calare l'ascoltatore nelle "Sequenze" di Luciano Berio - ma con una prospettiva obliqua, inquieta, spettrale e una mentalità combinatoria ed elettronica -, per una sua bellezza acustica intrinseca.

Sciajno dice di essere stato profondamente influenzato da Berio e di aver usato, in varie riprese nel corso della sua attività, una sorta di "cross-pollination" che molto deve alle tecniche utilizzate nelle "Sequenze". Concentrando l'ascolto sui singoli elementi è effettivamente sorprendente la capacità di Sciajno di piegare la propria arte a servizio non della modernità (da lui stesso rappresentata) ma della storia (rappresentata da Berio). Il risultato è bello. Bello d'ascolto, di finezze esecutive, di delicatezza.

Stupefacente. Un'afflato e un debito vero per la musica contemporanea...
