Ovunque regna una logica stringente, col gioco a incastro delle due voci che funziona egregiamente, anche se sarebbe improprio attendersi da un disco del genere delle sorprese, dei colpi d'ala imprevisti, delle soluzioni men che rassicuranti. Ogni frase, ogni scambio, possiede una sua consequenzialità assoluta, con tanta classe e poche scintille. Nelle ballad non si scade (quasi) mai nel facile languore, sui tempi mossi ogni nota, ogni accento è al suo posto, spesso nel segno di un'apprezzabile vivacità che di rado cede il passo a una qualche meccanicità. Del resto pressoché inevitabile.
