Q: Where did the interest in music originate from?
A: I started becoming interested in music when I listened to some blues artist like Son House, Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf, and many others of that kind of blues. So I start to play my guitar to became a bluesman like that.
Q: Were your parents supportive of your musical ambitions?
A: Oh yes, my father taught me how to play the first thing on guitar, but in my house there is also a piano, and I loved to play it.
Q: Growing up, what artists had the greatest impact on you in terms of influencing your work?
A: I started to listen to a lot of music and different styles like rock, blues, jazz, and classical, but the artists who influenced me were Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane, and Jim Hall. I don't like to imitate any kind of style, but I was really captured by the music of these artists.
Q: How would you describe the jazz scene in Italy?
A: I think that the jazz scene in Italy was really good; there are many artists and great festivals.
Q: Many musicians I’ve spoken to in the past find it difficult to retain a positive attitude towards the industry after a while. Is it the same for you?
A: I do not know. For sure you would like to get more and more as a chance to work, but now the time is not easy, and I do not think complaining would change things so I prefer to concentrate on my music and see what happens.
Q: What are your goals as an artist?
A: For my future as musician I hope to be able to make some new albums of the music that I write and play.
