Tour Joins the Global Celebration of March's Women in Jazz Month.
On March 6th, award-winning jazz singer-songwriter Eugenie Jones is set to ignite her Women in Jazz Month Tour at Denver’s premier music venue, Dazzle Jazz Club, with the tour journey continuing to metro-Atlanta’s chic Velvet Note Jazz Club on March 14th, San Francisco’s stylish Mr. Tipple’s on March 20th, and Seattle’s genre-bending Royal Room on March 27th.
This tour is a part of the global March celebration of Women in Jazz Month, shining a spotlight on the groundbreaking contributions of jazz artists—like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald—who helped lay the foundations of jazz and define its very essence.
Eugenie Jones is a captivating Seattle-based entertainer, renown for her distinctive “smoke & satin” vocals, electric stage presence, and emotionally resonant songwriting. Her live performances weave together inventive takes on vintage jazz, soul-infused jazz originals, and classic rhythm and blues. Her artistry has drawn praise from across the globe. Thierry De Clemensat of Paris Move Magazine called her “one of the most beautiful voices in the United States, part of that lineage of vocalists in jazz who dazzle with their sheer talent, elevating everything they touch.” George Kanzler of New York’s Hot House Jazz Magazine wrote of her latest album, EUGENIE, “With a warm, husky vibrato, the range of material she convincingly and comfortably covers is striking.”
Jones has written and recorded over 30 original jazz songs, and her songwriting has drawn comparisons to Abbey Lincoln and Nina Simone. Her album EUGENIE remained on JazzWeek’s Top 50 charts for 25 weeks, peaking at number four, and appeared on several radio stations’ 'Best of 2025' lists and her track, Nothing Better," was featured on All About Jazz's Top Recommended Jazz Songs: 2025. She has received Earshot Jazz’s Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year awards, as well as the Jazz Journalists Association’s Jazz Hero Award for philanthropy work, producing jazz legacy events that benefit community service nonprofits.
Women have always been unique and powerful contributors to jazz, and today their impact is more important than ever," says Jones. As we celebrate Women in Jazz Month and Women's History Month in March, we honor their legacies and strive to add our own contributions." Reggie Workman, former John Coltrane Quartet bassist and NEA Jazz Master, adds, This is an extraordinary singer, songwriter, and a source of light we are fortunate to experience.”
Prepare for an unforgettable night of exquisite vocals, top musicianship, and powerful storytelling, celebrating women in jazz across generations while presenting today’s trailblazers.
