A commitment to composition as presence—where the music exists fully in the moment it is created.
—Gio Guido
Guitarist Gio Guido announces a new live composition project documenting the creation of his next solo guitar album through a series of YouTube live sessions.

Following the initial launch of Extemporaneous Compositions, Gio continues the project by recording one complete composition per live broadcast, each performed and captured entirely in real time. Each session results in a single, uninterrupted piece that will become part of a forthcoming solo guitar album.

There is no written music, no predetermined form, and no rehearsal. Each composition exists as a first take—created, performed, and recorded live in the moment.

Rather than presenting a fixed schedule, the project unfolds as a concentrated sequence of live sessions, announced progressively as the recording process develops. This flexible structure allows the music to remain spontaneous while maintaining artistic focus.

Listeners are invited to participate by suggesting titles for each newly created work during or following the live broadcast. Selected titles will be credited as part of the album documentation.

The project emphasizes presence, risk, and immediacy—placing composition, performance, and recording within the same moment. The resulting album will document a series of first-take solo guitar works created live before an audience.

More information and access to live sessions are available via Gio Guido’s official channels.
