Mark Dresser: Modicana
L'attacco è al fulmicotone, frutto di un robusto archettato (generalmente i pezzi dispari sono appunto dedicati all'archetto, quelli pari al pizzicato, regola peraltro non rispettata nel comparto finale dell'album), suono pieno e denso, imponente, sontuoso, spesso rapsodico. Il pizzicato, che come accennato fa il suo ingresso a partire da "For Glen Moore," poggia invece su un deambulare fisiologicamente più sciolto, mobile, pur sempre partendo da una cavata possente e molto plastica.
Si procede così, grosso modo sino alla fine, con le carte che come accennato si mischiano un po' nei brani conclusivi, sempre dando l'impressione del perfetto controllo della materia da parte del performer, peraltro in grado di scongiurare ovunque ogni sia pur minima parvenza di maniera.
