Il sax alto, evidentemente, è strumento baciato in fronte per quanto attiene agli enfants prodige. E non solo in Italia, da Massimo Urbani in poi. Negli States può capitare poi che l'enfant sia un'enfante, come nel caso della diciannovenne Grace Chung, resa omonima dell'indimenticata attrice-principessa dalle seconde nozze della madre (con tal Robert Kelly).

In questo disco l'inconsistenza regna peraltro sovrana, lungo le coordinate di un jazz ginnico, derivativo e leggero come pochi (più ancora allorché la Kelly decide di calarsi nel ruolo di cantante). Cosa ci faccia in sua compagnia un monumento come l'ottuagenario Phil Woods non risulta troppo agevole da capire: proseguendo - dopo Lee Konitz e Frank Morgan - la serie di illustri altoisti mentori della giovane sassofonista, il Nostro vi svolge onesti compiti di coéquipier nei primi quattro brani, lasciando la Kelly da sola nei rimanenti tre, entro i quali c'è pure il tempo per un duetto alto/contrabbasso che è, a conti fatti, l'unica cosa interessante del disco.
