- Various Artists The Paramount Masters: 1924-1932 (JSP). Featuring some of Paramount’s classic artists like Cow Cow Davenport and The Hokum Boys

- Various Artists Sounds of Summer (Concord). This collection explores the sunny sounds of summer.
- Various Artists Playboy in a Smooth Groove (Concord). This collection embodies the smoother sounds from the Concord vaults.
- Quincy Jones and Bill Cosby The Original Jam Sessions (Concord). This collection compiles the music that was produced for Bill Cosby’s first television show. It features the hit “Hicky Brrrr?” and recordings by Ray Brown, Jimmy Smith, McCoy Tyner, Cannonball Adderly and Oscar Peterson.
- Various Artists Ritmo Afro Cuban (Fantasy). Culled from the Latin-tinged Fantasy catalogue featuring tracks by Chico O’Farrill and Andy Gonzolez.
- John Fahey Live in Tasmania (Takoma). the only official live album his extensive discography and, according to its producer Peter Noble, the first recording by an international artist made in Tasmania. The album was recorded in 1980 at Hobart University (Hobart being the Tasmanian capital) before "a full house and a dream audience," as Noble recalled in comments on the original album.
- Bernie Krause Citadels of Mystery (Takoma). The 1975 recording is by the electronic music pioneer.
- Cab Calloway The Chu and Dizzy Years (Hep). This two CD set is drawn from Calloway’s superstar band from 1939-41 featuring Dizzy Gillespie, Chu Berry, and Milt Hinton.
- Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra It’s D’Lovely 1947-50 (Hep).
- Various Artists The Statesmen of Jazz: A Multitude of Stars (Arbors). Jazzes elder statesmen join forces with the freshman class to present the 2004 edition of this series. This 2 for 1 priced release features Clark Terry, Buddy DeFranco, Louie Bellson, Ed Polcer, Benny Powell, Johnny Frigo and Joe Wilder working through a set list of standards of all kinds. Features liner notes by Dan Morganstern.
- Rosemary Clooney Rosie Solves the Swingin’ Riddle (RCA). A collection of big band recordings arranged by Nelson Riddle from 1960.
- Bing Crosby Bing with a Beat (RCA). A collection of the crooners recordings with the Frisco Jazz Band featuring Bob Scobey from 1957.
- Art Tatum Live Volume 6 – 1951-53 (Storyville). Previously unreleased live material from four different radio broadcasts in both band and solo piano forms.
- Thad Jones Eclipse (Storyville). Includes both studio and live performances of Jones’ 19 piece orchestra in 1972.

- Elliot Lawrence Matinee at the Meadowbrook. Culminated from a Lawrence radio broadcast in 1946.

- Various Artists Live at Caesars Palace (Neon Tonic / Concord). This compilation features previously unreleased live recordings of Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra and Keely Smith from Caesars Palace.
- Quincy Jones and Bill Cosby The New Mixes (Concord). This collection compiles the music that was produced for Bill Cosby’s first television show and will get remixed by some of the hottest DJ’s today – the remix album comes out on July 13th. Two words – Hicky Brrrr – enough said!
- Sammy Davis Jr. Live at Caesars Palace (Neon Tonic / Concord).
- Blind Willie McTell A to Z Blues: Biograph Recordings (Universe).
- Various Artists Raw Fiddle (Rounder). Nothing short of 2 CDs worth of hardcore fiddling featuring Roy Acuff, Fiddlin John Carson and Big Bill Broonzy - It includes fiddlers from America's back country on one disc, and adds another with still more fiddlers from many lands.
