Brandon Wright: Journeyman
Quello che manca in Journeyman sono freschezza di idee e spirito d'avventura, qualità indispensabili per rivitalizzare una corrente musicale rigidamente codificata. Così che gli episodi più interessanti risultano la rilettura di due pop song. Più canonica ma comunque efficace "Wonderwall" degli Oasis, intrigante, con il tema aggirato, le trame a maglie larghe, aperta ad interventi misurati, "Better Man" dei Pearl Jam.
Il ventisettenne Wright è l'ennesima meraviglia bianca sfornata dalle scuole musicali statunitensi, ottimo solista in contesti e formazioni assai variegate, che, alla seconda prova da leader, mostra ancora limiti di personalità e una marcata sudditanza nei confronti dei modelli di riferimento.
