Insectet: Insectet

Un bel prodotto, questo Insectet dell’omonimo gruppo, che prende il nome dalla formazione - un settetto - e dalla metafora degli insetti coniata per questi giovani musicisti, i migliori allievi dei seminari di “Nuoro Jazz 2005”. Un bel prodotto perché è una bella notizia che un seminario musicale trovi l’energia e i fondi per far registrare ai suoi allievi un disco (ed è il secondo anno che succede), ma soprattutto perché queste giovani promesse suonano davvero bene, oltretutto sempre su composizioni originali.

La musica è solo relativamente tradizionale: swing, ma anche arrangiata in modo complesso, con interazioni non banali, bei suoni e ottimi assoli. Si mette in luce la cantante Marta Raviglia, ma brillano soprattutto il sax di Giuseppe Murgia (ascoltare l’attacco di “Funkiglia”), il flauto di Francesca Corrisa e il piano di Davide Carotti, forse ancora un po’ acerbo ma limpido e vivace. Tutti però fanno la loro parte, in un gruppo che ha nell’allegra esuberanza la propria cifra e che si avvale in tre tracce dell’ospite speciale Paolo Fresu, che lo esalta nella traccia forse migliore, “Accaso”, dove un po’ tutti hanno modo di mettersi in luce accanto alla sua tromba.

Insomma, un bel prodotto e un bel lavoro. Complimenti a tutti.
