Paolo Sanna: Improvvis(e)azioni

Improvvis(e)azioni è stampato in 300 copie limitate con cover disegnata, o meglio incisa a mano dall'autore ed è un lavoro di esplorazione sul suono dentro al quale gli artisti hanno impresso l'attimo dell'improvvisazione, attraverso l'atto scenico e la ricerca impossibile suonare l'Immediato.

Non casualmente compaiono tra le parole e le dichiarazioni di Paolo Sanna e Elia Casu ancora una volta la parola giapponese "ongaku" (etimologicamente: "suono+divertimento") e (non tanto tra le righe) il concetto freudiano di arte come gioco (infantile) e mai scherzo (adulto), le concezioni sull'etnomusicologia di Derek Bailey.

Le ripetute carezze regalate al silenzio sono il risultato di questi presupposti, in "Il funambolo," o in "Sun," in cui sembra di ascoltare il momento in cui l'uomo acquisì in ere ancestrali la capacità di controllare, gestire e riprodurre il suono, in mezzo a paesaggi silenziosi e intatti. Ciò avvenne senz'altro prima del fuoco. "Sun" è comunque uno degli atti sonori più interessanti, e ci interroga sulla questione se nacquero prima gli strumenti a fiato o quelli a percussione. Altrove la musica diventa contemplativa di uno stato di trance, come in "Bhopal," un brano che dileggia volutamente il reale, nel tentativo di spingersi oltre la musica, in territori psicologici dove non ci sia più nulla da comunicare.

In "Naso di velluto" c'è tutta la solitudine dell'artista, nel suo atelier, pulire, sistemare, ordinare i suoi strumenti, il suo ride, il suo charleston o i suoi pennelli.

Un album da ascoltare una volta sola, tutto d'un fiato, ma da ricordare per un pò di tempo.
