Do Drugs è anche il nome della band, tre musicisti danesi che riversano la loro irriverenza iconoclasta con la veemenza, la velocità di pensiero e di esecuzione degne di un Charlie Parker dadaista. Sax contralto, chitarra, piano, percussioni lanciano bombe carta musicali dalle quali escono ritmi impazziti, melodie impossibili, accostamenti timbrici improponibili, palpitanti testimonianze di un pensiero in perenne movimento.
Qualche segnalazione? Il tre/quarti inquietante di "Waltz for a Char," il caos allucinogeno di "Alice," il rock ayleriano di "Redbird," il country assassino di "Happiest Thumb," il lounge caraibico di "Chasing Steeples," il rock & roll apocalittico di "Millionaire," e la ballad (sì avete letto bene) "Poppy". Insomma venticinque minuti e ventidue secondi per sentirsi vivi!
