Fabio Accardi: Arcoiris

Arcoiris racchiude nel giro di un'ora dieci composizioni originali del batterista pugliese Fabio Accardi, registrate nel 2007 e dedicate alle donne protagoniste della sua vita. Il drummer, forte di un bagaglio culturale di tutto rispetto, fatto di studi ed esperienze sul campo (tra le altre, Indigo4) dirige da dietro i tamburi una formazione dalle ampie vedute stilistiche.

Un turnover efficace - si alternano in scaletta sia i due pianisti Nicola Andrioli e Remy De Cormeille che i tre fiatisti chiamati in causa - rende l'ascolto dei brani mai scontato e rilascia la piacevole sensazione di sorpresa dietro l'angolo. Il vibrafono di Stephane Carracci e una ritmica camaleontica danno personalità a un suono che solitamente si sviluppa in maniera corale e levigata, ma non manca di alcuni ritagli solisti, qualche virata funky ("El Gato") e sterzate improvvise.

Andamenti serrati, strutture articolate, ottima occupazione dello spazio e distribuzione del tempo costantemente in divenire fanno di Arcoiris un album dalla lucentezza artistica non comune e meritevole di attenzione.
