Welcome to All About Jazz, a website created by jazz fans for people who love the music and believe in the internet's possibilities for sharing, discovering, and supporting it.

Since 1995, our mission has been to provide information, insight, and perspectives on jazz—past, present, and future. We aim to inform and entertain our readers, introduce them to music they might otherwise never encounter, and provide [promotional tools](https://www.allaboutjazz.com/musician-toolkit) that help working jazz professionals connect with audiences.

Whether you're just beginning to explore jazz or have been listening for decades, there's plenty to discover here. We publish new content daily, including articles, album reviews, interviews, news, photographs, music, and radio and podcast programs. Our extensive archives document decades of jazz history, while our musician database connects artists with their recordings, influences, collaborators, and related content.

All About Jazz is also a community-built resource. Our international staff of volunteer writers, photographers, and editors contributes original work throughout the year, while musicians, industry professionals, and members help maintain and expand the information available across the platform.

In 2011, we introduced Jazz Near You, extending our mission beyond recordings and journalism to live music discovery. Today, Jazz Near You helps listeners find concerts, venues, festivals, and other jazz activities in cities around the world. Together, All About Jazz and Jazz Near You connect the people who create, present, document, and enjoy the music.

We've also developed a growing collection of discovery tools, including Musician Orbit, musician and teacher finders, and an international directory of jazz businesses and organizations. These resources are designed to make the jazz world easier to explore and more connected.
