Batteria ipercinetica, basso elettrico implacabile e funkeggiante, sax tenore che sospinto dalla ritmica così stimolante può permettersi di scorazzare in lungo e in largo nei territori più disparati. Perché in Tres Muse troviamo sonorità fusion anni settanta, ballads dai sapori popolari, la contagiosa cantabilità dei ritmi caraibici, echi di fanfare e via dicendo.
Non manca certo il jazz straight-ahead ma è risolto in modi lontani dai power trio che hanno fatto la storia della musica afroamericana (Sonny Rollins, Ornette Coleman, Joe Henderson, etc). Qui il modus operandi è lineare, non ci sono stratificazioni, scatole cinesi o implicazioni intellettuali, perché l'enfasi viene posta sul groove, sulla comunicazione diretta con l'ascoltatore, su un alchimia strumentale in grado di creare atmosfere intriganti e coinvolgenti.
