Cobblestone Jazz: The Modern Deep Left Quartet
Il disco è piuttosto ascrivibile a una techno che flirta di volta in volta con influssi analogici, levità nu-jazz, roboticità funk che scolorano in tramonti balearici, incursioni electro adamantine, vocoder eighties. Tutto giocato con molto gusto e con una semplicità di fondo che si traduce in immediatezza e danzabilità, in efficacia e potenza.
Tra le cose più interessanti certamente "Mr. Polite" e le increspature futuribili di "Cromagnon Man," ma anche l'onirica gommosità di "Fiesta" cattura al primo ascolto. Non originalissimo, ma un bell'anticipo delle notti più dense dell'estate.
