Julian Hartwell is a sought-after jazz pianist, composer, bandleader, and educator based in Philadelphia, PA. Originally hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, for the past 18 years he has been performing throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond – making a name for himself and sharing his talents at jazz clubs to rock venues, high-class cocktail hours, local jam sessions and everything in between. In addition to an adjunct faculty role in the music department of his alma mater Temple University, some of Hartwell’s most recent career highlights include a solo performance at the Barnes Foundation presented through Philly Jazz Project, gracing the stage of the Media Theatre for the region’s inaugural TedX event, and performing as a sideman with Indian sitar and tabla virtuoso Ustad Shafaat Khan in his East Meets West fusion project

Scott Detweiler is an award winning American artist and actor, born and raised in New Orleans. Clarence H. Ward III is an American saxophonist and Trumpeter. Clarence began studying flute than saxophone at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School the age of 15 under the guidance of one of Baltimore's greatest educators and trombonist Charles Funn. Under Charles Funn tutelage Clarence Ward III won best soloist awards at 3 jazz festivals throughout his time in high school as well as received a music scholarship to University of Maryland Eastern Shore. After a couple years of college Clarence decided to join the ARMY as a full time saxophonist. Since leaving the army in 2001 Clarence has been a freelance Reedman and Trumpeter

Laurent Doumont

LAURENT DOUMONT is a saxophone player, singer & songwriter from Brussels with a natural inclination for soul and jazz. In the 90’s he took part in Michel Hatzigeorgiou’s tribute to Jaco Pastorius. Around that time, Laurent began a career as a free lance musician, playing in several funk and jazz bands, including some gigs with Fred Wesley.
In 1999, in order to improve his musical skills and culture, he moved to New York, where he took some classes with Chris Potter. He eventually spent two years there, playing and hanging out in jam sessions. When he came back, he played with Boney M, The Gibson Brothers and George Mc Crae during the Disco Night Fever tour. Together with Olivier Bodson and Alain Palizeul, he seized that opportunity to found a horn section which became one the most sought after in Belgium and abroad. Later, a few concerts with Percy Sledge and a musical meeting with James Brown would top their résumé.
