There are the recordings as sideman, over 150 at last count, from jazz (Jimmy Hamilton, Maynard Ferguson, etc.) to blues/R&B (Buchanan, Doug Maynard) to bluegrass (Becky Schlegel) to folk (Greg Brown, Arlo Guthrie). Network television appearances run the gamut from the Merv Griffin Show to Soul Train. But more important is the list of adjectives that undeniably apply to Johnson: fluid, inventive, smart, tasteful, complimentary and complete, to name just a few

ROBBIE LINK is a performer and teacher on the double bass, cello, electric bass, viola da gamba, and violone. Link performs and records with many period instrument, chamber, jazz, and folk music ensembles and enjoys performing everything from Baroque to Bluegrass. He maintains a private teaching studio near Chapel Hill, NC. Link studied jazz with David Baker and classical bass with Murray Grodner in the School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and also studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has performed with The Bach Sinfonia, North Carolina Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Louisville Symphony, Ensemble Vermillian, and Ensemble Courant as well as with many jazz notables including Maxine Sullivan, Tal Farlow, Mose Alison, Mark Murphy, Carol Sloane, Margaret Whiting, Bobby Enriquez, Joanne Brackeen, and Scott Hamilton.

Neal Caine is a natural, a dyanamic bass player with strong drive and an intuitive feel. Starting with the Suzuki Method on violin at age three, Neal learned music as a native language, and he has the facility and musicality to show for it. By the age of twenty, he was preferred on the New Orleans scene by such notables as Ellis Marsalis, Donald Harrison, and Nicholas Payton, and was asked to join the Elvin Jones group, a position of high honor that he carried with distinction for almost four years. Recent projects include Quartet Doloroso featuring Morris Acevedo, Dave Pietro and Anthony Pinciotti and a soon to be released recording with The George Schuller Trio with pianist Dan Tepfer. Performed with artists such as Victor Lewis, Teddy Charles and Connie Crothers. Performing regularly in Japan with The Blue Willow Trio featuring Takumi Seino and Masako Hamamura. These days shuttling between New York and Barcelona. Founder of The Grassroots Jazz Effort.. Ron Brendle
Born:
Ron Brendle, a freelance bassist in the Charlotte area since 1981, was recently recognized by Charlotte Magazine as "Best Bassist." His innovative compositions and improvisational style have also earned five awards as "Jazz Artist of the Year" by Creative Loafing Magazine. Ron was the recipient of two North Carolina Arts Council Jazz Composer Fellowship Grants, which helped to produce his CDs Hypermobility and Photograph.
Ron's composition Not Forgetting was used in the motion picture The Architect and his compositions Hypermobility and Freeway were featured on two JazzSouth Sampler CDs.
As a first-call bassist in the area, Ron has performed and recorded with many notable jazz artists of international stature, including Nneena Freelon, Clark Terry, Andrew Hill, Charlie Byrd, Charlie Rouse, and Mose Allison

Alejandro Cimadoro's fruitful musical career spans for over 25 years. He was part of the renaissance of Argentine Jazz and Rock, which took place in the early 80s and projected many of that country's bands to the international scene. Alejandro was at the center stage of that process, sharing the stage with rock, pop, tango and jazz legends-such as Nito Mestre, Gabriel Ogando, Mar�a Rosa Yorio, Armando Alonso, Pepi Taveira, Eduardo Casalla, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Pollo Raffo, Ernesto Jodos, Carlos Lastra and many others. Alejandro's vast experience includes live TV and radio performances, as well as touring extensively Latin America
