Dopo la cilena Melissa Aldana, s'impone a New York un'altra giovane sassofonista sudamericana, l'argentina Julieta Eugenio, di un anno e qualche mese più giovane.

Come già fece Melissa nel 2010 con l'album Free Fall anche Julieta ha debuttato con un pianoless trio (Jump, Greenleaf 2022), organico che ora ripropone con gli stessi partner, il contrabbassista Matt Dwonszyk e il batterista Jonathan Barber. In due brani dell'album, Leo Genovese si aggiunge al Fender Rhodes.

Gli aspetti condivisi con Melissa Aldana si fermano qui perché stilisticamente Julieta è piuttosto diversa: all'esuberanza della collega sostituisce una maggiore introspezione, che si manifesta in un suono raccolto d'impronta cool, un incedere compassato e un approccio intellettuale, talvolta astratto. Fantasia e tecnica strumentale sono invidiabili.

Il percorso dell'album si snoda senza asprezze, privilegiando l'equilibrio delle forme e l'interplay con i partner, capaci di creare un tessuto variopinto e stimolante. Tutte le composizioni sono della leader (eccetto ovviamente "Sophisticated Lady") e tra queste spiccano le quattro versioni di "Breath," due delle quali con l'apporto di Genovese al Fender.
