Il chitarrista americano Robben Ford è di casa in Europa. In particolare, sembra molto apprezzato in Francia per il suo blues raffinato che spesso scavalla le barriere per approdare ad un jazz-rock che profuma di tecnica e di idee. La sua breve permanenza alla corte di Miles Davis nel 1986 lo ha certamente aiutato ad avere la vasta notorietà che certamente merita.
In questo ottimo DVD registrato nel 2001 al New Morning di Parigi sono con lui il tastierista Louis Pardini, il bassista Jimmy Earl e il batterista Brannen Temple. Ottimi compagni di strada non particolarmente noti che però sanno giocare bene di squadra, permettendo a Robben Ford di tenere bene il proscenio. In particolare la presenza di un tastierista libera Ford dal compito di tenere assieme la sezione ritmica, permettendogli di spiccare assoli molto ben congeniati e di concentrarsi anche sul canto quando l'arrangiamento del brano lo richiede.
Il repertorio è costituito in parte da brani che erano stati presentati nell'album Supernatural (uscito nel 1999) ma non mancano alcuni cavalli di battaglia del chitarrista come "Help the Poor," "Start It Up" e "Chevrolet" e una anticipazione come "Indianola Blues" che sarà incisa nell'album Blue Moon del 2002. Il menu prevede anche una bella e lunga intervista a Robben Ford, per una durata complessiva del DVD di quasi due ore.
