A nostalgic trip back to 1979 with two pieces of music which opened my first Radio Show in Melbourne on PBSFM. Pat Metheny and Weather Report. New releases feature Indonesian guitarist Tohpati, German guitarist Pete Roth with drummer Bill Bruford and more from the excellent work by guitarist Jeremy Green. Some impressive work by pianist from Venezuela Manuel Gamez featuring Mike Stern and guitarist Fareed Haque paying tribute to the late Pat Martino. Fretless bassist Michael Manring with guitarist Al Garcia, and Scandanavian band Rymden with their latest. Italian trumpet master Paolo Fresu with bassist Federico Malaman from the latest live recording. It's back to 2022 with powerful Korean progressive band Arkitekture, from Azerbaijan pianist and vocalist Aziza Mustafa Zadeh and we finish with the Omar Hakim experience and keyboard wizard Alan Pasqua. Enjoy the music and thank you for listening.
