Billie Eidson
Billie Eidson is an Oregon trial lawyer, former Assistant Attorney General, educator, jazz vocalist, and bandleader. For more than 25 years, her legal career has included representing individuals in complex civil litigation involving civil rights, employment discrimination, serious personal injury, wrongful death, sexual abuse, and medical negligence, as well as defending the State of Oregon in high-stakes cases.
Before becoming a lawyer, Billie taught high school—an experience that shaped her belief that effective advocacy begins with listening, clarity, and genuine human connection. She earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law.
Alongside her legal career, Billie has developed an extensive body of work as a recording and performing artist. Her performances are rooted in deep listening, lyrical storytelling, and emotional clarity. She leads ensembles throughout the Pacific Northwest and has recorded multiple albums and singles with many of the region’s most accomplished jazz musicians.
Drawing on lessons from both the courtroom and the bandstand, Billie explores how listening, timing, presence, improvisation, and authenticity can make lawyers more persuasive advocates and more effective communicators.
