I Just Found Out About Love continues Billie Eidson's exploration of the Great American Songbook, expanding her repertoire with fresh interpretations that balance nuance, rhythm, and lyricism. The album was inspired in large part by the fascinating rhythm and groove of bassist Ed Bennett and drummer Todd Strait, whose interplay shapes much of the record's character — later celebrated with a live recording and CD release event at Studio One in Portland, capturing the material in front of an audience.

The project features two accomplished pianists, Tommy James and Darin Clendenin, alongside Bennett and Strait's rhythm section. Eidson's approach favors ensemble balance over vocal spotlighting, blending her voice into the group's overall texture rather than placing it out front.

Building on the introspective, trio-based aesthetic first introduced on her debut Sometimes I Love You, I Just Found Out About Love reflects Eidson's ongoing commitment to thoughtful, emotionally grounded interpretations of jazz standards.
