About All About Jazz’s Coverage Request System
The All About Jazz Coverage Request & Tracking System was created to simplify the process and increase the chances that you, your music or your concert receives coverage on All About Jazz. Requests can be made for an album review, interview or concert coverage.
Previously, publicists, labels, and musicians would email the All About Jazz publisher directly with press releases or review requests. That approach often led to bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and lost time. Our new system streamlines communication, making coverage more likely.
To get started, submit your coverage request here.
For album review requests
- First, add your album to the All About Jazz database (or select it if it’s already listed).
- Be sure to include a YouTube video and/or Spotify playlist link when adding your album information so our staff can sample your music.
- Provide detailed album information to improve your chances of finding a best fit writer.
- You can notify up to five staff writers directly when you make a request. Each writer you select will receive an email and can accept or decline your request. You’ll be notified either way. If you don’t specify writers, your request will remain in the general pool where any staff writer can claim it.
Once a writer claims your album, you’ll be asked to provide them with the music in their preferred format (digital, CD, or vinyl). Reviews are typically completed within 30 days and you’ll be notified the moment your review is published.
Managing requests
You can submit new requests or track existing ones from your member page. Both options are available under the "Coverage Requests" tab in the "Your All About Jazz" section.
Contacting Radio and Podcast Hosts
This system is intended for written coverage. You can continue to contact the radio and podcast hosts in your preferred manner. They can be found here.
