Quel che conta nel progetto sembra soprattutto la genuina vivacità, che libera le espressività dei membri del gruppo, ed in particolare quelle dei due fiati. Se Bearzatti gode ormai di un’ampia popolarità e di chiaro riconoscimento, Mauro Ottolini è invece trombonista ancora poco noto, ma dalle eccellenti qualità (clicca qui per leggere la recensione del suo disco Ecologic Island, sempre con Bearzatti).
Tra i brani più riusciti, “Iberia” - di Marchioni - ha un bel tema e una struttura che permettono a tutti i componenti del gruppo di prodursi in eccellenti assoli, così come “Grown” che, sebbene più essenziale, presenta apprezzabilissimi soli di Ottolini e Bearzatti. Divertentissima “Mattana”, in stile giamaicano e con un Bearzatti a là David Murray.
Un disco di gran ritmo, facile, ma non superficiale.
