Wayne Wallace Latin Jazz Quintet: Infinity
È un quintetto che si dimostra un valido esponente del genere, anche se riproposto con eccessivo rispetto di maniera, in un coacervo di clichè che investono il profilo armonico del pianoforte e quello ritmico dei timbales.
Una formula rigida nella sua articolazione, risultando alla lunga stucchevole e ripetitiva, in quanto adagiato su un onesto mainstream, eseguito con brio, gusto ma nulla di più.
Fa eccezione la bella rivisitazione di "Memories of You," dove il jazz si colora delle languidi cadenze del bolero. Un episodio isolato ma istruttivo, per dimostrare le potenzialità del leader, circa i futuri sviluppi di una logica musicale personale.
